1.Equipment Bag
-Use any of the equipment bags on the top of the wood tank rack in the compressor room,
2.Scuba Cylinder Tank
-Use any scuba tank in the wood rack in the compressor room.
-Use a pressure gauge and check the pressure in the scuba tank to be sure that it is full. If it is not full have the Instructor or Dive-Con assist you with filling the cylinder.
3.Buoyancy Compensator (BC)
-Try the BC on and make sure that it works properly. Make sure that all the buckles and straps are in place and work properly.
-Determine if the BC has a safe-second regulator connected to the end of the inflator hose, this will determine what kind of a regulator system that you will need.
-During the pool sessions do not use the weight pockets or add weights to the BC, use a weight belt as mentioned below.
4.Regulator System
-If your BC does not have a safe-second regulator connected to the end of the inflator hose, make sure that your regulator system has two regulators.
-Find the proper hose and connect to the inflator hose valve on the BC. Make sure that it fits snug and properly.
-Make sure that the regulator system has a submersible pressure gauge (SPG) or computer.
5. Mask/Snorkel
-Find a mask that fits properly. Make sure that the mask has a snorkel attached to the strap.
-Check the mask strap and make sure it works properly.
6.Fins
-Find a pair of fins that are the proper size. Make sure that they are both the same size.
-Check the fin straps to make sure all the parts are there, and they work properly.
-Boots can only be worn in the pool if you have purchased them. Do not wear any shop boots in the pool.
7.Weight Belt
-If you require weights in the pool, use a 8 lb. weight belt.
-Do not carry the weight belt in the equipment bag, as it is too heavy and will eventually destroy the bag.
***Very Important Note***
All Scuba Divers are required to assemble all Scuba Diving Equipment at the dove shop, an check to ensure it is working properly. If any piece of equipment is NOT working properly, give it to Steve Lowe and check out a piece of equipment that is working properly.
